Pier Sixty-Six – Hotel near airport in Fort Lauderdale

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were much more spacious than the first one I had, although it could have used a microwave, which would have been useful. However, the room was not exactly as it appeared on the website. The service, on the other hand, was top-notch, with very friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to meet our needs. The location was fantastic for relaxing and enjoying the sun, and it offered a great view of the marina, though the time schedule was a bit hard to understand. The dining experience, while a bit pricey, was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The facilities were modern and convenient, adding to the overall positive experience.

The hotel rooms urgently need an upgrade, as they were ready but old-fashioned and outdated, giving off a vibe similar to a low-rate motel rather than a four-star hotel. The pool also lacked cleanliness. On the upside, the service was excellent, with friendly and approachable staff who went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The location is convenient, being close to the port, FLL airport, and cruise terminal. However, the rundown surroundings and the lack of enough staff were notable drawbacks.

The hotel rooms were clean and functional, though a bit dated, with a strange smell. Despite this, being about 1 km away from reception was convenient for my partner with mobility issues. The service was responsive and friendly overall, but some staff members were dry and rude. The location was great for its proximity to restaurants and shops, but poor for airport or port access at times due to bridge delays. The dining options seemed expensive, but the quality was good. Despite some drawbacks, the facilities were adequate.

Stepping out onto the canals from the 4th floor, the rooms at the hotel are in a similar state, providing a mixed impression of comfort and upkeep. The service was especially helpful and kind, with staff willing to assist promptly. The location, while not close to the beach, offers great dining options, although the distance from parking might be a drawback. The dining experience, while limited in choices, comes at a price that may not align with expectations. The facilities are adequate but may leave room for improvement in terms of variety.

The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The room location, initially far from the entrance, and the unexpected room change may be inconvenient. However, the helpful service, especially regarding facility usage and luggage storage, saved the day. The central location, with attractive amenities, is a bonus, but dining costs could be excessive.
